Pienaars Pothole on Diamond Lakes has been worked by three methods within living memory: continuous dewatering, conventional earthmoving fleet, and now dredging using a suction pump relocated from West Coast marine operations. Each method reached gravels inaccessible to the previous one.

The 2018 bulk sample on Diamond Lakes recovered around 3,500 carats. The capital raise is for a larger, more efficient dredger to work the base of Pienaars Pothole. Diamond Lakes is also the recorded site of a red-purple diamond recovery — one of very few anywhere.
